This isn’t your average naff Barbie collaboration, involving the logo being slapped across every available surface, oh no. Instead, LA brand Wildfox has re-imagined the actual outfits Malibu Barbie wore in the 80s.
“Barbie meant a lot to me growing up, and with this company I am basically playing grown-up Barbie all the time,” revealed Kimberley Gordon, Wildfox co-founder and creative director.
“I thought it would be fun to imagine if those [dolls] were real, and to bring the Barbie Dream House to life.”
The eight piece collection, called ‘The Wildfox Dreamhouse’ is set to launch in November, with prices starting from around £22. Consisting of swimsuits, denim and sunglasses, you’ll literally be able to dress like Barbie.
Here’s hoping someone pulls together the real life wardrobe of Jem and the Holograms sometime soon, eh?
