Rekorderlig pop up winter forest bar

Those crazy good-looking Scandinavian types at Rekorderlig are transforming the urban jungle of East London’s Brick Lane into a beautiful Swedish Winter Forest with their pop-up bar.

Think sky scraping pine trees and wild foliage with traditional Swedish tid-bits, with Scandinavian DJs replacing the sound of mating elks with the hip Scandi choons this side of the Northern lights. FAYE, Sweden’s hottest musical export since, ar, Ace of Base, will be performing at the exclusive launch night.

Rekorderlig cider

Rekorderlig’s full range of ciders will be on offer (natch), but we’re most excited to try their Winter Cider – a blend of apple, cinnamon and vanilla  served hot or cold over ice with a slice of orange. ER, YUMMERS MUCH?

Award winning mixologist (now THERE’S a job title) Michael Stringer will also be creating magical cidery concoctions to warm your wintry cockles, here’s two that have already caught our eye:

Svenska Mojito
Spiced rum muddled with fresh lime, mint and cranberries, topped with Rekorderlig Winter Cider

Amareko Sour
Nutty Amaretto, dark rum and infused raisins with Rekorderlig Winter Cider

Norse by Norswest will rustle up tasty Scandi-style tapas dishes – elk sausage rolls, anyone? Other food stuffs making us salivate in anticipation is the Västerbotten cheese croquette topped with cloudberry chutney and traditional Swedish meatballs. OH MY!

Tickets only cost a fiver and include a free Rekorderlig tasting tray of ciders. Get yours from the Rekorderlig Facebook page facebook.com/rekorderlig. A limited number of tix will also be available on the door each night on a first-come-first-served basis.

We can’t wait to don our fave chunky Fair Isle knits and sip delish winter warmers in the company of good-looking Scandi sorts  – and guess what? WE’VE GOT A PAIR OF TICKETS TO GIVE AWAY!

Yeah, you heard right. Rekorderlig have given us a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky Le Blower, to head along to the pop-up winter forest bar on a night of your choice* – to make ’em yours, just tell us what your favourite Scandinavian export, EVER, is by leaving a comment below (or on Facebook or via Twitter). Our fave answer wins.

*’Cept Oct 29th and 30th cos there’s posh private parties on, innit. Comp closes Thurs 25th October, midnight GMT. Demz da rulez.
