Obviously at Le Blow, we’re soooo fashion forward, we’re currently all over Spring Summer 2013.
Buying this season’s winter coat? Yawn, we did that in August already.
The one exception to this rule is when fashion has a little moment of retrospection. As testified by the SS13 shows, the 90s obsession runs and runs!
From plaid shirts, slogan T-shirts and dungarees at 3.1 Phillip Lim to the bleach blonde screeching of Shampoo as the House of Holland soundtrack, YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE.
In tribute, let’s make Natalie Portman in Léon: The Professional (1994) this week’s fashspiration. She rocks (even now), and to her film mentor, Leon’s credit, pulled off a choker, bomber jacket and handgun with an attached silencer like a pro.
Take your modern choker references from the Proenza Schouler SS13:
Team ultra thick slashes of black with monochrome, red, wet-look finishes and flashes of neon. Pow!
