London Fashion Week SS14 // What to put on your own LFW schedule…

The carb-free countdown to London Fashion Week has begun! On the 13-17th September 2013 London-based and international designers will be showing collections for SS14, with Somerset House again being a hot bed of street style snappers, mega queues, peacocking and industry style spots.

But you don’t have to be FROWing to feel the buzz – the city of London is set to feel that little bit more fashionable all week. Here’s what to add to your own London Fashion Week schedule, dah-lings:

A corresponding schedule of events on Oxford Street, now lined with fashion flags, is in the works. Amongst other happenings, Lulu Kennedy is set to host a talk at Topshop and Rihanna’s new collection will drop at River Island.

Over in Covent Garden, Silent Cinema is launching a free pop-up screen in St Martin’s Court with the support of the British Fashion Council. Tongue-in-cheek highlights include The September Issue and *blue steel fash fave* Zoolander (below).

And it’s not just all about the established designers on the schedule. New names on the radar have been just announced by the international showcase for fashion innovation, Fashion Scout. Look out for coverage about Hannah Williams, Helen Lawrence and Renli Su.

If you’re ticketless, no fear! Stay locked to your screens for live show streaming and tweeting from FROWers. Indulge in shoe-themed cocktails at The May Fair Hotel or keep the fizz on ice for the home-based LFW virtual experience. Louis Vuitton did some great silk loungewear for AW13 so if your old dressing gowns in the wash; you know what to wear already.
