VV Brown is BACK (nope, we’re not sure where she went), and she’s brought Kele Okereke off of that Bloc Party with her.
Faith is the third single to be taken from her album Samson & Delilah, and it’s well moody, in a dark, hypnotic way. And what a long way VV has come since her Victory Roll hair do and M&S modelling days – she’s reminiscent of Grace Jones here. And any song with the lyrics ‘belly-flop into a swimming pool of sound’ is a winner in our book.
This is a different version to the one on the album, though, and will be officially released on 28th April. And while we love the bonkers make-up and arty black-and-white vid (directed by VV herself), we can’t help but think of this song with the repeat of ‘you gotta have faith’ at the end…
