So that’s it then. It’s Christmas. WELL IT MAY AS WELL BE *shivers, eats soup. Puts fire on. Plays Slade. AGAIN.*
So instead of roasting chestnuts, stuffing gooses etc (ERM, I totally stuff gooses. Geese. What?) and dreaming about merry white Christmases (ahem), I’m MOSTLY dreaming about my winter wardrobe.
And here’s my top five most covetable items so far. Today.
1. Liberty strawberry DMs
From the wooden sole to the strawberry trim and white chunky laces, I ADORE these.
There will be no tottering around the office Christmas do for me. I’ll be doing the monster mash. And stamping on many a frozen exposed peep-toe. DEAL WITH IT.
Dr Martens x Liberty Aisha Cherry Red Boots, £120, Coggles
2. Lacoste Live’s winter geek chic
One for our editor ‘these glasses are TOTALLY functional’, Nat. Loving the Peter Pan collar rugby shirt. And the argyle jumper. AND the checked varsity jacket. You get my (snow) drift.
Lacoste Live Striped Jumper With Peter Pan Collar, £90, ASOS
3. ANYTHING WITH AN EMBELISHED CROSS ON IT
You think I’m joking? Stick jewels on it, I want it. Especially this:
Hearts & Bows Jewel Cross Sweatshirt, £27.99, ASOS
This:
ASOS Velvet Midi Dress with Embellished Cross, £52.50 (was £75), ASOS
And this:
YES IT’S A UNITARD AND NO I DON’T CARE.
Unitard With Jewel Cross Embellishment, £50, ASOS
4. Galactic leggings
You heard. Yes, I know I will only wear them once. Yes, I know they won’t keep me warm. Yes, I know someone else will call me ‘young adult’. See previous bazillion posts on 90s Mystic Meg intergalactic style. You’re well jels, aren’t you? Told ya.
BamBam Nebula Shiny space print leggings, £38, Urban Outfitters
5. A snow wolf furry-shouldered, studded collard denim jacket
NO.WORDS.NEEDED. RRRRAAAARRRRRR.
Snow Wolf denim jacket, £70, WAISTE
Please note none of the above features anything:
a) useful past one season
b) functional throughout winter weather
c) remotely Christmassy at all
