Take a trip down memory lane at the V&A Museum of Childhood and their tribute children’s book LEGEND Jacqueline Wilson.
The British author has a special place in the hearts of former teens (er, adults then?) the world over and this exhibition gives us an insight into her life, featuring an exact replica of her childhood bedroom to short stories and diaries written by Jacqueline as a young girl, showing the origins of her talent for writing – including annotated drafts of favourites such as… Tracy Beaker. Wowser.
Of course, the show will also feature Nick Sharratt’s excellent illustrations that have accompanied Jacqueline’s stories of over a decade.
Daydreams and Diaries, the Story of Jacqueline Wilson will be exhibited at the Museum of Childhood until 2nd November 2014. museumofchildhood.org.uk
