Rocketman film: it’s gonna be a long, long time until it’s out…

The Elton John biopic Rocketman isn’t released for another 500 years (end of May), so here are a few fresh new film stills for your viewing pleasure. Or, if you’re me, more inspiration to make your everyday outfits a bit more “Elton”.

Similarly, in true Elton style, Rocketman is set to be more extra than a regular biopic blockbuster – Bohemian Rhapsody, for example – with the film’s star Taron Egerton revealing last year that: “it’s a fantasy musical so it’s actually his songs used to express important beats in his life at emotional moments. He’s not the only character that sings. It’s going to be fun.”  Well, the film is produced by Elton himself, through his company Rocket Pictures, after all.

And, looking at the latest production skills, it’s fair to say, Taron’s done it again. He seems to undergo a metamorphosis in his roles, transforming into the person he’s playing (receding hairline and all, in this case, thanks to have his hair thinned on top especially).

Right, I’m off to nab these diamante square sunglasses from Topshop and watch the official trailer on repeat for the next five months…

Rocketman, starring Taron Egerton, Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, Gemma Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard, opens on 31st May, 2019.
