Aaand much to the complete disgust of our collective boyfriends, this is our current fugly footwear obsession, spawned from an insta-craze of bloggers and street stylers alike.
Socks and sliders – the trend started by Adidas last summer and even BIGGER this summer – and Birkenstocks are BACK. BELIEVE.
Go silver or white if you need to girl up just a little, then true summer sandals, with or without socks (seriously) chunky, clumpy, Velcro, buckles – the uglier the better, and extra points for wearing white to the floor.
Boho-up for festival excellence with floaty skirts and maxi dresses, or pair down with boyfriend jeans and tee BUT FOR GOD’S SAKE PAINT YOUR TOENAILS. Geography teacher chic does not extend to a dodgy coloured toe talon. Or even better, go with a sheer sock for uber glamour nana.
