Three trends to try at London Fashion Week // Ways to look oh-so current

Attention all bloggers! London Fashion Week starts next week. That’s right, Next Week. If you haven’t officially planned what you’re wearing to chase fashion editors down The Embankment with a camera, then you’re already behind the curve.

Here’s a couple of trends to try out if you’re in need of inspiration fast:

Skirts over dresses

Alexander Wang skirt over dress

As seen in Alexander Wang’s pre-fall collection. This is a great option if you can’t decide what to wear, plus you can always swap a few layers over in the loo if you’ve completely missed the dress code mark at the after party.

Karl gloves

Karl Lagerfeld gloves

Of course normal gloves are warm and practical. Karl Lagerfeld gloves are cropped, fingerless, and come only in unlined black leather. Completely pointless but great for shielding yourself from flashbulbs as you stride past the paps.

The ‘invisible’ haircut

The Invisible Hair Cut Giles SS12

The emperors new clothes of beauty trends. This is a confusingly expensive haircut that makes you look like you haven’t even had a cut at all. Perhaps the easiest trend to achieve at the last hour; have a quick snip round the front with nail scissors and then just bark loudly in the queue about ‘concealed blending’.

Happy fash-wan week, y’all!
