I have (late night) feelings for Mark Ronson’s new tune

Mark Ronson always seems to know exactly the sort of music I’m diggin’ at exactly the right time. When I was into beehives and 60s soul, he was making Amy Winehouse sound like she’d just steeped out of a recording session with the Ronettes. Last year when I was dabbling with country and folk, Ronson and Miley Cyrus saddled-up and landed on my sound waves with Nothing Breaks Like A Heart.

And now, as I find myself heartily embracing the glitz and glam of D.I.S.C.O, Ronson’s latest single (and accompanying video) is all about that 70s sass—and slightly sultry hot take at that: “make me psychotic, you pull away / You take the sane in me / And tear it like a page.”

With vocals from original indie KWEEN Lykke Li, the video is a 70s-inspired dream, with LOTS of interior inspo ? as well as Mark Ronson looking hot in a Saturday Night Fever inspired suit. Yes, this ticks a lot of boxes for me, and I’m looking forward to the album, full of more “sad bangers” (to quote MR himself), coming out next month!

The new album Late Night Feelings is out on 21st June 2019 | markronson.co.uk
