I feel a bit mean for posting this pic of poor ol’ Fearne Cotton sans make-up.
We love a bit of the Cotton-meister here at LB. But felt it our duty to womankind to give a refreshing reminder that EVERYONE has a Bad Face Day (much worse than a Bad Hair Day – at least you can dry shampoo the bejesus out of your barnet or shove a headscarf atop your bonce to remedy such an occurrence).
Instead of taunting yourself with images of beautiful, picture perfect slebs looking amazing in their enviable lives (or is it just me who does that… surely not?), it’s reassuring to know that they would look as shit as we do were it not for their army of make-up artists and the swift hand of the virtual Photoshop brush.
It would explain why we’re far more used to seeing Ms Cotton look more like this:
And not the paler-than-a-submarine-captain’s-arse-pallor-complete-with-piggy-eyes-and-scraggly-eyebrows natural beauty snapped in Notting Hill over the weekend. But you know what? She clearly couldn’t give a shit and even managed a tight-lipped smile for the paps. Not sure I’ll be going as far as Fearne and heading to work make-up free. Although my scary boat race might secure a seat on the train. But it’s nice to be reminded that slebs need as much help from the MAC counter as us mere mortals, isn’t it?
