5 things we’re looking forward to wearing this festival season… all at once, obvs

Ever since Coachella we’ve been feeling increasingly festivally here at Le Blow HQ.We’ve started to wear floaty kimonos with our jeans and there’s certainly more jingle in our jewellery.

And what with Brighton’s Great Escape sounding the klaxon for the start of the UK’s festival season last weekend, we’re ready to embrace our bohemian side for a summer of hippy-dippy festival fashion, a job lot of dry  shampoo and the ability to wee in less than 60 seconds, to minimise time spent in smelly portaloos. ANYWAY!

Here are five festival fashion finds for 2014 that we can’t wait to wear – all at once, obvy:

The tie-dye playsuit

tie dye onepiece

So while an all-in-one and a portaloo might not be the best of combos, WHO CARES when your onesie looks like this? Brought to you by the clever folk at OnePiece, it’s the right side of slouchy and comes complete with pockets to perfect that nonchalant Instagram pose. We love the fact that, as each garm is dyed individually, no playsuit is identical so you’re getting your own little piece of wearable art! Just add Cons and you’re set.

The luxe boho jewellery

dream catcher necklace

OK, so this is more of an investment piece that’ll see you through festival season and beyond, but WORRA BEAUT. This dream catcher necklace caught our eye at the Nikki Lissoni press day last month and we’re saving the pennies so it can become ours soon. Carry on with the impractical festival attire theme and wear with all white (Birkenstocks to boot) or take inspo from Stevie Nicks and go floaty boho. The coins are interchangeable so once you’ve bought a neck chain you can carry on collecting and switch your style, to maximise bang for your buck. BEAUT.

The practical piece

festival bum bag

Every festival season we start to dress like we’ve just got back from our Gap Yah, but these Peruvian bum bags from cool new brand/sister act Gringas are practical as well as on point, so you can wave both hands in the air like you just don’t care, without trying to juggle cider/more cider/iPhone/friend on your shoulders/etc. If anyone asks, it’s just a little summit smummit you picked up on your travels…

The cool cover-up

adidas x farm company

We’ve already gushed over this shit-hot collaboration here so we’ll spare you further drool – but just imagine this jacket casually slung (read: expertly shoulder robed) over a floaty frock and Western boots for the ultimate in Urban Cowgirl chic. WE WANT IT SOOOO BAD.

The throwback hat

parrot-bucket-hatOur latest 90s fashion throwback OBSESSION is the bucket hat; last seen in navy atop our heads at an Oasis concert circa 1996. And this one has parrots on. FUCKING PARROTS! Totally tropical and may well save you from sunstroke/revealing your greasy barnet on day three of your festival. Failing that, it will DEFO put a Liam Gallagher swagger in your step.
