Oooh, we haven’t got excited about new choons in a while (mainly because we’ve been too bloody busy to listen to any) but Washington DC based threesome Misun (pronounced ‘me-sun’) have certainly got our music-maker moist.
Their latest track Hills and Trails is at once retro and modern, somehow effortlessly blending 60s pop, soulful jazz and hip-hop.
We’re crushing hard on lead singer, and band namesake, Misun Wojcik’s textured, sexy vocals, which are all Amy Winehouse (RIP) singing Aqua Marina in the Wild West.
This is the sort of track that transports you to a dancefloor in another time and place, Mighty Boosh style. We’re OBSESSED.
