We could barely contain our excitement when we heard Marimekko and Converse were collaborating on women’s specific collection for Spring 2011 Converse ? Marimekko. It sounded like a marriage made in heaven, combining the classic shapes such as the Chuck Taylor hi top and the distinctive bold prints that Marimekko do oh-so well.
As a collection it does look pretty hot but what is with all the monochrome prints, Marimekko? We wanted to see mad, bold floral prints in the crazy brights that we all know and love you for. Seriously guys, shame on you. We will only be buying one or two pairs now, instead of ten.
As a couple, Converse and Marimekko are not so much hot newly weds, but a boring married couple who spend weekends arguing in Ikea and have missionary sex.
